Student Stories
With nearly 100 clubs to join, 40+ majors and minors to study, hundreds of faculty members to learn from and 2,700 students to befriend, there are a lot of stories to tell at Skidmore.
- With ambitious dreams and a passion for comedy, the economics and philosophy double major from New Delhi, India, set out to hone his talent in the birthplace of modern stand-up: New York City.
- Azizul Hakim ’26, who grew up with gridlock in Dhaka, Bangladesh, is now applying artificial intelligence to rethink how traffic flows in upstate New York. The computer science major collaborated with Skidmore Assistant Professor of Computer Science Wenlu Du on a summer research project that used state-of-the-art reinforcement learning algorithms to optimize traffic signal timing.
