Residential Life

At Skidmore, high school students can imagine their futures while living together, cultivating new friendships and discovering just the right balance between work and fun. A carefully selected and trained residential staff, which includes the residence director, assistant residence director and resident hall advisors (RAs), live with Pre-College students in their own private residence hall. The residential life program, designed to support and complement academic and artistic endeavors, ensures that students' social lives are every bit as exhilarating as their intellectual lives.

Monique Dudar

Monique Dudar, Resident Director

Hello! My name is Monique, and I am a health and fitness professional as well as high school wrestling coach. I grew up in Connecticut and went to Skidmore for undergrad, where I fell in love with Saratoga Springs and the Adirondacks. After a gap year working, I moved to Fort Worth, Texas to pursue a Master’s in Kinesiology at Texas Christian University—and ended up staying for four and a half years before recently moving back to Upstate New York. I compete internationally in HYROX (similar to CrossFit, but with more running) and love staying active, exploring the outdoors, cooking/baking, and spending quality time with friends and family. I can’t wait to meet you all!

Lola Bessis

Lola Bessis, Assistant Resident Director

Hello! My name is Lola Bessis. I’m a PhD student in Political Science at the University of Delaware, where I also work as a teaching assistant mentoring undergraduate students. I’m originally from France but grew up in Dubai, and I graduated from Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ where I studied English and Sociology with minors in Political Science, International Affairs, and History. I love cooking, traveling, and spending time at the gym, and I’m always excited to meet people from different places and learn about their stories. I’m looking forward to spending the summer at Skidmore and getting to know everyone

Dennise Reyes Sanchez, senior Resident/Academic Assistant

Hi everyone! My name is Dennise and I will be graduating from Skidmore in May! I am from the Bronx and my major is Sociology. A little about me is that I love photography, tiramisu, and dancing.  I chose to be a Pre-College mentor (for the third year!) because I’d love to help you transition from high school to college life and academics for the summer! I look forward to meeting you all.

Hi! My name is Givi, I'm from New York City and I'm a rising junior at Skidmore. I'm a Management & Business major with a minor in Arts Administration and Entrepreneurship. In my free time I love playing basketball, discovering new music, and spending time with friends. I chose to be a Pre-College mentor because I want to help students feel welcomed and supported as they explore college life, and I'm excited to share my experiences at Skidmore while making this summer one to remember for everyone!

Maliha Rahman

Maliha Rahman, Resident/Academic Assistant

Hi! My name is Maliha Rahman, and I’m originally from Bangladesh, now based in Long Island, New York. I’m a rising senior at Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾, double majoring in Management & Business and Economics. On campus, I’m involved in Residential Life and the Office of Advancement and serve in leadership roles in many different student organizations, and I love building connections with people from different backgrounds. In my free time, I enjoy photography, singing, and exploring new activities around campus. I chose to be a Pre-College mentor because I remember how overwhelming it can feel to start something new, and I want to help create a supportive, welcoming environment where you can feel comfortable, confident, and excited about your experience.

Felix Tuyisaba

Felix Tuyisaba,  Resident/Academic Assistant

Hola! My name is Felix Tuyisaba. I’m from Nampula, Mozambique, but I’m not an international student. I come from Houston, Texas. I’m a rising junior at Skidmore, and I’m excited to see what the rest of my college experience has in store. I’m a Health and Human Physiology major who honestly loves the field a little too much. In my free time, I enjoy drawing, photography, playing video games, philosophizing and writing, walking in nature, cooking, and trying things my friends are passionate about, because nothing makes me happier than seeing someone light up while explaining what they love. I chose to be a Pre-College mentor because, looking back at my own college journey, I wish I had someone like me to help guide me through it. Instead of dwelling on that, I decided to take action and become the mentor I once needed. I’m really looking forward to meeting you all and hopefully being someone who can make college feel just a little easier, because that’s exactly what I needed my freshman year.
