‌Modernity and Jewish Life at the End of the Ottoman Empire: A Conversation
‌At 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, in the Wyckoff Center, Murat Yildiz, associate professor of history, will join guest scholar Dina Danon, associate professor of Judaic studies and history at Binghamton University, for a conversation on modernity, class, and Jewish life in urban centers of the late Ottoman Empire. This event is presented by the Jacob Perlow Series and Office of Special Programs.

‌2026 Juried Student Exhibition
‌The 2026 opens Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Schick Gallery, with a reception from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The exhibition features more than 200 entries across all media, including painting, drawing, animation, fibers, ceramics, jewelry, and metals. The 2026 juror is artist and writer Mary Simpson. The exhibition is on view through March 3.

‌Camp Northwoods registration
‌Online registration for Camp Northwoods, Skidmore’s summer day camp for children, opens for employees at 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5. Skidmore community members receive priority and will be sent an email with specific instructions that morning.

‌Registration is now open for employee fitness classes, including yoga, pilates, circuit training, and spin. ‌Skidmore Shop semester hours
‌Our semester hours of operation have resumed. The shop is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 3:30 p.m., unless otherwise noted. Online shopping is always available at , with free in-store pickup.

‌The Skidmore Shop receives course material deliveries daily. Orders may be placed online, and customers will be notified by email when materials arrive. The deadline to return course materials is the end of the add/drop period on Feb. 3.
